This link will take you to a quick video about Universal
Design for Learning. It briefly explains how we first designed a universal
world for people with disabilities to make most things accessible. This
practice has now become apparent in the classroom as well. This video gives
insight into the processing and thoughts behind developing universally designed
lessons. Emphasis is on the enhancement
of academic success and creating more learner centered and inclusive learning
environments. This video also brings about the idea that we need identify
potential barriers in the learning environment so we can reduce or eliminate them.
